tanka 34

un salt...
şi motanul prinde
frunza uscată
bunica priveşte şi
zâmbeşte sub batic

un saut…
et le chat prend
la feuille morte –
la grand-mère regarde
et sourit sous le batik

a jump...
and tomcat catchs
the dry leaf
the grandma looking and
smiling under head-kerchief

tanka 33

fuioare de ceaţă
în jurul munţilor -
un uliu planează
peste lanul de porumb
pândind şoricei

filasse de brume se lève
tout autour des montagnes –
un épervier plane
par-dessus le champ de maïs
guettant des souriceaux

the mist bands rising
through the mountains –
a falcon soars
over the field of maize
looking for the mousetails

tanka 32

aşteptând
concertul de Anul Nou -
ninge cu fulgi mari
în faţa televizorului
bunicul şi nepoţii

attendant
le concert de Nouvel An –
il neige implacable
devant le téléviseur
le grand-père et le petit-fils

waiting for
the concert for New Year–
it’s snowing hardly
in front of the Tv
the grandpa and grandsons

tanka 31

de dimineaţă -
urmele păsărilor
pe masa înzăpezită
curtea este pustie
niciun copil

au point du jour –
les traces des oiseaux
sur la table
la cour est vide
aucun enfant

at daybreak –
the bird’s footmarks
on the snowy table
the court are desert
no child

tanka 30

frunze cad din ram
una câte una -
primii fulgi de nea
acoperă cărările
şi alungă păsările

feuilles tombent
par la branche l’une après l’autre –
les premiers flocons
jonchent les sentiers
et chassent les oiseaux

leaves falling
one by one from the branch –
the first snow flakes
cover the paths
and exile the birds
